A client just sent me one of his collections to be setup and was wondering what magic could I do to it. So when he finally brought it to me..I was like…what ??? a Vintage Martin D28 that was made in 1949. Plus this piece had the coveted Brazilian rosewood back and side. I took this baby out…had one strummed and I was like..its sings..its sounds so..OPEN…a deep bass that is not overpowering that was balancing the clear ringing fluid trebles with nice harmonic content. The brazilian back and sides of this piece is purely..tightly grain quartersawn with high Q content.
the sides lovely tight grain..
after I managed to setup the action I took a video review of it. You can view it here
enjoy ..and till my next post I’m signing off ..this is Jarvis Wong( Champion) …..the guitarman..
